One Of My Favorite Bass Fishing Spots Is Slowing Down

One Of My Favorite Bass Fishing Spots Is Slowing Down

Its a real bummer but it happens. One of my favorite spots to fish for bass is not as productive as it use to be and I think its because so many people are out there fishing the same spots. There is a neighborhood next to where I live that has a rec area and on either side is a small lake with a dock on both sides. On one side you can only fish the dock theres no bank access but on the other side you can fish the dock and theres a fairly decent amount of bank access but not a lot. The rest of the lake you cant get to unless you have a kayak because people live on either side of these small lakes.

A lot of people have been coming out to fish which is awesome..... but the fish I think are moving to areas we cant reach due to so many of us being out there or there just not buying it anymore lol.

A spot where I was catching 4-8 bass in a 2 hour time frame now in 3 hours I caught 2.  I caught one bass on a ned rig I saw it laying in a bed and another I caught on a Texas rig using a black and blue flake senko. I did get another bite but it was little and it shook off.

These things happen and it is totally fine. I want everyone to get outside, fish and have fun. An in a situation like this I just like to leave that spot alone for a few weeks because were all out there using different tackle and techniques so when you give it a rest and come back you present the fish with something that they haven't seen in a while.

Maybe ill go panfishing out there next because its also a good spot to catch panfish also. So if you like to panfish (I love it) be on the look out for some more of that.

Side note: I either fish in the morning or evening time because I live in Florida and I don't fish after 11:30am or 12pm because the sun is the highest in the sky until about 6:30 pm and the sun will drain the life out of you if your not in the shade lol Once May hits we start getting into the low 90's.. The fish don't like it and I don't either lol unless its overcast of course or your in a shaded area. Thats been my experience anyways.

Heres the two largemouth bass I was able to catch.
