 The Trout Slayer. Does It Really Slay? The question at hand is does the Trout Slayer truly slay.... yea or nay? The Trout Slayer is made by Leland lures and I love Leland lures products. Not to long ago I did a review on there Panfish Magnet kit if you want to check that out.  The Trout Slayer is a small crawfish soft bait that is used to target multiple species of fish from bluegills to even bass and crazy enough trout.... Ive caught a lot of bluegill off this bait and warmouth but Ive yet to catch a bass and since I live in Florida trout is hard to come by lol  Trout Slayer Lets talk price. Small Largemouth Bass Are Cool Too  I caught two small largemouth on the ned rig using the Z-Man finesse TRD the green pumpkin and the hot snakes. Largemouth Bass I like to catch all size bass.. there all fun to catch in my opinion.  The One That Got Away Im talking a big boy... I had it.. it was so close to the bank... and then.... he broke my heart. Okay drama aside I caught a daddy of a fish and as I got it literally 5 feet if that from the bank he took a jump and shook off and got away.... ugh I dont even want to talk about it anymore because i'm still mourning the loss lol  BUT we did catch some other fish dont worry! Exhibit A I caught a Largemouth bass on the Mud fleck Yum Hellgrammite at clear lake in Florida Largemouth Exhibit B I caught a few of what i'm assuming to be redear sunfish because of the pattern but the ear isn't very red at all but it looks like a redear too me.....  What I Think About The Quick Trigger 5' Ugly Stik  Long story short the quick trigger ugly stik is a great affordable pole. I have caught 5 bass successfully and lost 3 (my fault I mean how hard is it to set the hook lol) and i've only used it 3 times so far. The quick trigger ugly stick is a 5' pole and it comes with an ugly stik reel that holds up to 10lb test. You can purchase this combo at Walmart its $29.96 plus $3.36 for the 2 year warranty here in Florida. Ugly Stik Quick Trigger The ugly stik reel is really smooth I like using it even though it only has one bearing. Im not going to lie I was surprised that it only has one bearing lol I didn't realize it until I made this post lol which is impressive. Ugly Stik Reel Heres one of the bass I caught using this pole.  What A Bluegill! Sheesh..... Man this bluegill was on the larger size. Crazy thing is I caught it in a tiny little pond lol Bluegill Bluegill The bait I was using was red worms. I like using red worms because you cant go wrong using live bait... the fish love it. BUT i'm not going to lie..... I feel bad ripping a worm in half so I don't use live bait often.
